Helikon Patriot Black Fleece Jacket 390 g/m² (M7)
Fleece with a density of 390 g/m² is not a "warm" office jacket, but real protection from cold in field conditions. Helikon-Tex Patriot in black is designed as an independent outer layer or as a powerful insulating liner under a membrane in a multi-layer clothing system. It is precisely this density of fleece that makes a noticeable difference during prolonged outdoor exposure in sub-zero weather.
Hood with visor is tightened with a drawstring with stopper fixers, allowing you to adjust it to your head even over a helmet or hat. Cuffs are fixed with elastic rubber plus an additional velcro fastener - no gaps at the wrist. The hem is tightened with an elastic cord with stoppers. Both sleeves have velcro panels for chevrons and patches.
Patriot works well as a mid-layer under a tactical Softshell jacket or membrane in cold weather, and as a standalone jacket in dry frosty weather with moderate activity. Ventilation zippers under the armpits allow you to release excess heat during transitions or physical exertion without undressing. Velcro panels on the sleeves allow you to place unit patches or identification marks.
Most outdoor fleece jackets have a density of 200-300 g/m². Helikon Patriot with 390 g/m² fleece is already a different category of heat retention. At the same time, nylon overlays on the elbows and collar make it significantly more durable than regular fleece without reinforcements. Six pockets, including a hunting pocket on the waist, is a functional solution that most urban or sports analogues don't have.
