This is a mid-season fleece jacket that works equally well as a standalone outer layer in cool dry weather or as a mid-layer under an assault jacket in winter. The high stand collar and elastic cuffs block wind access, so the jacket is comfortable even with sharp gusts. The absence of a hood is a deliberate design choice: it doesn't interfere with gear and helmets.

Material and texture: why Light Grid Fleece

The jacket is made of Light Grid Fleece from 100% polyester. The textured structure in the form of fine honeycomb is clearly visible on the fabric: it increases the surface area and thus improves heat exchange without adding extra weight. The shoulder and elbow areas are reinforced with inserts of denser smooth fabric - where fleece wears fastest from contact with gear and straps.

Differs in pocket construction and Velcro panels

Version 4.5.0 is an improved model with an expanded set of functional elements. Here's what specifically sets it apart from regular fleece jackets:

• Two sleeve pockets with zippers with Velcro panels for attaching patches, chevrons, or insignia.
• Velcro on the chest - additional surface for patches.
• Napoleon-style chest pocket and two lower side pockets - all with zippers.
• Full-length central zipper with chin guard protection from pinching.
• Stand collar that fastens with a separate zipper to the chin.
