The Raccoon Mk2 from Polish manufacturer Helikon-Tex is designed for exactly these conditions: it performs equally well in an urban environment, on a short trek, and as a field backpack for gear.
A 24-liter capacity is enough to pack spare clothes, food, a hydration system, and small gear, but not so much that the backpack weighs you down during fast movement. A hydrator pocket with multiple mouthpiece outlets simplifies long outings without stops for water. A front pocket with an organizer allows you to keep documents, accessories, and small items separate from the main contents - no chaos in your backpack after the first day.
The body is sewn from Cordura® 500D nylon - a material with a dense, uniform texture that is clearly visible in photos. It is resistant to tears and prolonged wear, so the backpack's appearance doesn't deteriorate after active use. YKK® zippers on the main compartment and front pocket close from both sides. The backpack weighs approximately 1067 g with dimensions of 450 x 240 x 200 mm.
The MultiCam camouflage pattern combines green, beige, brown, and dark green shades - this is a classic adaptive coloring that doesn't look overly aggressive in the city and is functionally effective in the field.
Horizontal straps of the sand-colored MOLLE/PALS system run across the front and side surfaces - pouches, cases, and any compatible gear can be attached to them. Cross elastic cords are stretched over the straps: convenient for securing a jacket, sleeping pad, or anything you need at hand. A velcro panel on the front provides space for patches and insignia. A removable waist belt and chest strap with adjustable padded shoulder straps allow you to distribute weight evenly during long wear. At the top is a rigid fabric handle for carrying the backpack without straps.
Most backpacks of this capacity either have a MOLLE system without proper internal organization, or conversely - well-organized but without external expansion options.
