The ESDY Tactical Frog T-Shirt undershirt was developed for a specific purpose: wearing under body armor during warm seasons. The short sleeves and mesh insert in the lower part of the front panel provide ventilation where the armor fits tightly. The fitted multi-panel cut doesn't bunch up under the plate carrier.
The shirt is worn directly under a plate carrier or body armor: the fitted cut prevents the fabric from bunching, and the spandex content allows free arm movement, bending, and unrestricted motion. In less intensive situations, the undershirt is worn as a standalone top over thermal underwear, paired with tactical pants or shorts in similar camouflage.
Most budget undershirts are made from solid fabric without thoughtful zoning. Here the front panel is divided into segments: camouflage shoulders and sides - where visible, and sand-colored mesh insert in the center - where contact with armor is maximum. This mesh-textured insert dissipates heat and doesn't accumulate moisture under protective gear.
