Under a body armor or plate carrier, temperature rises quickly - and this is where the shirt material decides everything. The torso and armpit area are made of CoolMax, which actively wicks sweat and maintains a tolerable microclimate under equipment even during extended operations. The rip-stop sleeves don't give up: they withstand contact with hard surfaces where knit fabric would have worn through long ago.
The shirt was designed for a plate carrier or body armor: the knit back doesn't create unnecessary folds under heavy equipment, and the raglan sleeve doesn't bunch up at the shoulder joint when raising your arms. In the field, it can be worn as an independent outer layer - the black color and absence of any visible logos make it neutral. Sleeve pockets with velcro allow you to attach patches and chevrons without additional sewing.
Most combat shirts are sewn either entirely from rip-stop or entirely from synthetics. Here the zones are divided deliberately: where ventilation under armor is needed, CoolMax is used, and where the shirt rubs against load-bearing equipment, straps or branches - dense rip-stop with cotton content. Reinforced elbow pads strengthen the most vulnerable point of the sleeve. The zippered collar covers the neck without a rigid stand that chafes under prolonged load.
