The boots are designed for active movement over uneven terrain: climbs, descents, obstacles. Rigid rubber protection of the toe and heel with shaped overlays protects against impacts from rocks and roots. The massive relief tread with deep geometric protrusions is visible even in photos - it provides grip on wet and loose surfaces. Closed hook loops secure the lacing reliably and don't snag on branches or equipment.
