The Propper GEN III Polartec Fleece Jacket in Coyote is made from Polartec Thermal Pro High Loft Fleece: a fluffy dense fleece pile that retains heat while keeping the jacket lightweight. The cut conforms to US Army standards of the GEN III ECWCS system, so the model works equally well in military gear and everyday wear.

Use

The jacket can be worn as a standalone outer layer in cool weather or as a mid-layer insulation under a jacket or tactical coat. It is compatible with other elements of the GEN III ECWCS system. The ergonomic cut allows freedom of movement, making it comfortable for hiking, hunting, fishing, and outdoor work. Since the size chart runs large, when choosing a size, keep in mind that thermal underwear can be worn under the jacket.

Differences

The main difference of this model is the combination of original Polartec material with reinforced zones on the shoulders and elbows. These are the areas that wear fastest under backpack straps, load-bearing equipment, and frequent elbow support. The fleece fabric quickly wicks moisture and dries fast, and the jacket is easy to care for.
