The head heats up fastest under a helmet, so an ordinary solid cap quickly gets damp and uncomfortable in summer. The summer model keeps what docker caps are valued for, namely no visor and a compact fit, but has mesh inserts on the sides for ventilation.

How a mesh docker cap differs from a regular one

The main body is made from the same blended fabric as regular models: according to sellers' descriptions, 65% cotton and 35% polyester. The only difference is the side panels, where mesh replaces solid fabric. Air passes through it more freely, so less heat builds up under the helmet.
