Combined upper: main panels are made of natural leather with a matte nubuck-like texture, side inserts and calf sections are made of Cordura-type fabric. Eyelets and D-shaped lacing hooks are metal, olive color; laces are made of durable nylon with paracord-like weave. Closed-type lacing so it doesn't press on the instep when walking. Lining is perforated textile fabric in a yellowish-beige color. The calf is medium-high, above the ankle, which fixes the shin without excessive movement restriction.
The dark brown sole is claimed to be wear-resistant: it does not deform or crack with temperature fluctuations - relevant for demi-season use.
The combination of natural leather and Cordura is a specific compromise between durability and weight. All-leather boots are heavier and breathe worse; purely textile boots wear out faster in areas of greatest friction. Here leather is where there is the most load, and Cordura is where ventilation and flexibility are needed.
