Nord Storm
Nord Storm: Winter Tactical Jackets, Pants and Suits
Nord Storm makes clothing for the cold season: winter jackets, insulated pants with suspenders and two-piece suits. The name echoes the fabric known as Nord Shtorm, a dense rain-shell fabric with a Rip-Stop weave, a windproof membrane and a water-resistant WR finish that keeps out wind and melting snow. This is gear for duty and long shifts, winter hunting and ice fishing, when you have to stay outdoors for hours.
Insulation and Layers Underneath
Nord Storm jackets are insulated with synthetic Temploft or G-Loft, a down alternative that is light, does not soak up moisture, does not migrate through the fabric and springs back after compression. In the R Military suits and pants the insulation weighs 100 g/m², and a quilted lining keeps it from bunching.
The jackets have a straight, roomy cut with space for several layers. In hard frost, wear thermal underwear and a fleece under the jacket: without layering, an insulated outer shell alone will not keep you warm, especially when you stand still for a long time.
Suspender Pants and Suits
Nord Storm R Military winter pants have a removable insulated back panel with elastic suspenders: it zips on at the back under a draft flap, and the suspenders fasten at the front with hook-and-loop tabs. A wide insulated waistband covers the lower back, so these pants are made for guard posts, observation and ambush positions where you barely move. Winter tactical suits pair a jacket and pants in one color (olive, coyote, Pixel or Khyzhak Camo), so there is no need to put a set together yourself.
Colors, Women's Models and Plus Sizes
Nord Storm winter jackets come in Pixel, Multicam and Khyzhak Camo, as well as olive, coyote, black and navy blue. Plus-size versions cover larger builds, women's jackets have a slightly fitted cut and a large hood, and the black Police model is meant for security and patrol work. The hood adjusts with drawcords to fit snugly in wind or over a helmet, and elastic cuffs keep cold air out of the sleeves.
