UKR·TEC: Tactical Boots, Combat Boots and Sneakers
UKR·TEC makes tactical footwear in Ukraine for duty, hunting, fishing, hiking and everyday wear. The models are built from genuine leather, suede, nubuck and CORDURA nylon, and the deep-lug soles are designed for dirt, asphalt and rough terrain.
How to Match a Pair to the Season
- Summer: Osa sneakers with leather sides and a mesh toe, Raccoon in perforated leather and the low-cut Zubr boots. Here ventilation matters more than water protection.
- Spring and fall: Energy and Pantera sneakers in suede and CORDURA, Shershen in leather and 3D mesh, Crazy, Varan and Combat boots, and Evolution combat boots in Crazy Horse leather.
- Rain and slush: Fregat, Patriot and Everest boots with a Frost800 membrane, and Cobra with WinterFrost800. Everest also has a side zip, so the boots go on faster.
- Winter: Vepr, the winter Combat and the fur-lined Evolution combat boots have a euro sheepskin lining made of half natural sheepskin and half synthetic fiber.
Sneakers, Boots or Combat Boots
Low-cut footwear is lighter and more flexible: tactical sneakers suit training, the city and long walks in warm weather. Mid-height tactical boots protect better against mud and stones, and a reinforced heel counter keeps the heel in place.
High UKR·TEC tactical combat boots lock the ankle, which makes them a better fit for long marches with a load and for rough terrain. For large feet, there are the Evolution Big Size combat boots.
Fit and Care
Try on sheepskin-lined UKR·TEC winter models with the warm socks you plan to wear, and demi-season ones with thin hiking socks. Dry wet footwear at room temperature away from heaters, and treat leather and suede with a water repellent from time to time: the upper keeps its shape longer, and the seams keep water out.
