The UKR·TEC Patriot boots in olive are made for the cold season: the upper is natural nubuck with CORDURA inserts, and inside there is stuffed wool insulation. They rise slightly above the ankle, so your foot is covered from snow, yet the boot does not get in the way in a car or on stairs. Rubber caps on the toe and heel take knocks and scuffs.
Nubuck is strong and flexible, copes with daily wear and lasts more than one season with proper care. The CORDURA inserts keep water out and breathe, so the boot gets less heavy in damp weather. The stuffed wool keeps warmth around the foot even when you stand in the cold for a long time.
The sole is hard-wearing and shock-absorbing, so small stones and uneven ground are felt less. The tread grips well on different surfaces and is designed for moderately difficult terrain. A rigid heel counter holds the heel securely, and the laces let you adjust the fit for thick socks.
Olive works equally well with field uniform and winter tactical trousers, and with dark jeans the boots are worn off duty too. Dust and dried mud are less visible on the olive surface.
