The Helikon MCDU Combat Shirt in black is made for exactly this kind of load: it's a UBACS worn under armor, during training, in field operations, and in airsoft games.

Wear It Under Your Plate Carrier

The shirt is from Polish manufacturer Helikon-Tex and is part of the Modern Battle Dress Uniform system. The construction is divided into zones. The sleeves and collar are made of NyCo Rip-Stop: this material is resistant to tears and abrasion and doesn't catch on weapons as much. The central part is made of elastic TopCool fabric that doesn't restrict movement, wicks moisture, and dries quickly. This is why the body under armor feels drier, and heat is easier to tolerate.

Use the Pockets and Patches

Zippered pockets are located on both shoulders. They're convenient for storing a map, smartphone, or GPS navigator, and they remain accessible even when the torso is covered by a plate carrier. The pockets have Velcro panels for attaching a flag, unit emblem, or morale patches.

Adjust the Fit

The high stand collar fastens with a zipper, and a protective flap prevents the chin from chafing. Cuffs are adjusted to the wrist with hook-and-loop fasteners. Seams in the elbow area are reinforced, so where the fabric suffers most, the shirt wears more slowly.
