Who is this jacket suitable for and in what conditions?

Tomahawk is aimed at those who spend long periods outdoors in winter and cannot afford to freeze or overheat. Multicam camouflage - a combination of beige, green, brown and sand colors - makes it a choice for hunters, fishermen, military personnel and people who need an effective camouflage pattern in field conditions. The extended rear hem (scooped back) does not ride up during movement, and reinforced zones on the shoulders and elbows do not restrict work with weapons or equipment. The jacket works equally well as a standalone layer and as an intermediate layer under an outer shell.

What is it made of and how does it retain heat?

Outer layer - Paratex Micro, 100% nylon with water-repellent and wind-resistant coating. In the photo you can see the characteristic light shine and fabric density - it is not soft to the touch like fleece lining, but rather a working shell. Inner layer - Paratex Light, between them is Softie® insulation (100% polyester), which maintains thermal insulation even when wet. The quilted construction is visible in the photo: sections on the sleeves and body fix the insulation evenly, without shifting. The weight of the jacket in size M is 1120 g, and a compact case 36x20 cm is included.

The hood is removable, insulated, and fastens with a zipper. In the photo you can see the voluminous shape and black lining inside, there is cord adjustment. The collar with fleece lining covers the neck, and the protective flap under the chin prevents the zipper from chafing the skin. Ventilation holes under the armpits prevent overheating during active movement.

How does this model differ from similar jackets?

Most insulated jackets in this segment either provide warmth or dry quickly - Snugpak Tomahawk combines both parameters thanks to Softie® insulation, which does not lose thermal insulation from moisture and quickly recovers after compression. Waterproof YKK zipper with protective flap - not just a detail, but an element that in practice means the absence of drafts down the center of the jacket in frost. The set of pockets is designed for real field use: two side zippers, left chest pocket, sleeve pocket and internal zipper pocket. The manufacturer is the British company Snugpak, which specializes in equipment for military and outdoor use.
