Protects where it really matters

The jacket is designed for people who spend extended periods outdoors in challenging weather conditions: military personnel, police officers, hunters, and those embarking on winter expeditions with heavy gear. A high standing collar with an additional zipper and a deep adjustable hood with the Hood/Harness system protect against biting wind, while the hood moves synchronously with your head and doesn't shift even in strong gusts. A removable inner belt at the bottom prevents snow from getting under your clothing during crawling or active maneuvers.

Material and insulation: what's inside and outside

The outer layer is a windproof nylon with reinforced Rip-Stop weave. It remains quiet during movement, resistant to mechanical damage, and repels moisture. The elbow and lower back areas are additionally reinforced with Cordura fabric, which wears significantly slower at points of constant contact. Beneath the outer layer is a breathable PU membrane with a polyamide lining.

G-Loft insulation is distributed unevenly: the torso receives a density of 145 g/m2, while the shoulder area gets 110 g/m2. This solution retains heat where the body loses it most and doesn't restrict arm movement or weapon and equipment handling. Fleece inserts on the wrists and palms with thumb and watch cutouts provide additional warmth at the junction between the jacket and gloves.

Eight pockets and a ventilation system for specific tasks

The functionality of Delta OL 4.0 isn't limited to thermal protection. Eight pockets cover various field needs:

• two front angled zippered pockets - accessible even when geared up
• two upper arm pockets with loops for glasses or pens
• two lower arm pockets with zipper closures
• two internal mesh zippered pockets

YKK VISLON ventilation zippers in the armpit area allow you to shed excess heat during high exertion, while the fleece lining of the ventilation channels prevents snow from getting inside. Both sleeves feature Velcro panels for attaching patches, flags, or morale patches.

How Delta OL 4.0 differs from most winter jackets

Most insulated jackets are either too noisy when moving or have a hood that constantly shifts to the side. Here, both problems are solved by design: the Rip-Stop nylon remains quiet, and the Hood/Harness system keeps the hood in the correct position regardless of head movement. Cordura reinforcement on the elbows and back isn't a decorative element but a real durability reserve for those who frequently work in prone positions or on uneven surfaces.

The jacket color is officially listed as brown, but the actual shade is olive (ranger green), which is clearly visible in the photos. Depending on lighting, it may appear lighter or darker.
