M-Tac Tactical Pants
M-Tac Pants: How to Choose Your Model
M-Tac pants are made by a Ukrainian manufacturer, and the brand has several lines that differ in more than just color. Some models are designed for field use and wearing with knee pads, others for everyday duty, city wear and active recreation, when freedom of movement matters more than camouflage. So before you look at sizes, decide where you will wear them. If you need models from other manufacturers, browse all tactical pants.
Aggressor Gen II or Aggressor Gen II Flex — What's the Difference
The name is the same, but these are two different models. Aggressor Gen II in camouflage (Multicam and MM14 pixel) is the field version made of ripstop with an anatomical cut. It has hidden compartments for knee pads and D-rings for hanging small gear. The inserts do not dangle on straps, so working on your knees is much more comfortable.
Aggressor Gen II Flex is made of lightweight solid-color ripstop with a Teflon water- and dirt-repellent finish. The composition is 63% polyester, 35% cotton and 2% elastane. The share of elastane is small, yet the fabric stretches noticeably when squatting and taking long strides. The hardware here is by YKK, and there are seven pockets, so a phone, flashlight and documents can be spread out without overloading any one of them. If you need pants for use with knee pads in the field, choose the camouflage Gen II. For duty, city and trips into nature, Flex is more convenient.
Camouflage or Solid Colors
Multicam and pixel are appropriate where you need to blend in with the terrain: in field conditions, at training exercises, when hunting. In the city they stand out and go less well with civilian clothing. Solid olive, coyote, dark gray and black are more versatile to wear: they are easy to combine with fleece, a softshell or an ordinary jacket. Dark blue is usually chosen for the uniforms of the relevant services.
Solid colors are available not only in the Aggressor line. They are also offered by Conquistador Gen I Flex and Patriot Gen II Flex — these are other patterns from the brand with their own cut and pocket layout. Compare the models in the photos and in the size chart if the Aggressor fit did not suit you.
Women's Models and Sizes
Aggressor Lady is made on a women's pattern, so the waistband does not gap at the lower back and does not constrict the hips. The model has an adjustable tunnel waistband, D-rings at the front and an adjustable leg hem. There is a field version made of ripstop in pixel and Flex variants in black and dark blue.
Within the brand, size charts differ: some models come in letter sizes with a length designation, others use the waist/length system. Check the size chart for the specific model, rather than going by habit from a previous pair of M-Tac from a different line.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which M-Tac pants should I get for knee pads?
The camouflage Aggressor Gen II. They have hidden compartments for knee pads, so the insert stays in place. When trying them on, insert the knee pads and squat to check whether the knee feels pressure.
Can I wear M-Tac pants without a belt?
Yes, in Aggressor models the elastic tunnel waistband adjusts to your waist size. It also holds a tactical belt up to 5.5 cm wide, so one pair works both for the city and for going out with a duty belt.
How much do M-Tac tactical pants cost?
Prices range from 3 420 to 3 970 UAH. The difference between models is moderate, so it is best to choose by purpose: camouflage or solid color, compartments for knee pads or Flex stretch.
