The Archon 5.0 tactical winter jacket in coyote color features quilted insulation across the entire surface, a straight cut to the hip, hood and front zipper. This men's winter jacket combines three types of insulation: G-LOFT, COCONA 37.5 synthetic insulation and hollow fiber Omni-Heat on the upper back.

Who is it for and in what situations is it needed?

The jacket is designed for those who work or move outdoors for extended periods in cold, windy and wet weather. Specifically, for long shifts, hiking, outdoor work, and rainy trips. If you get too warm while moving, there are ventilation zippers in the pit areas with VISLON YKK that unfasten with one quick motion and don't snag on fabric. The hood with integrated Hood/Harness system rotates with your head and adjusts so it doesn't block your view.

G-LOFT does not absorb moisture, so the insulation remains dry even in rain. The jacket compresses well, and after being taken out of a backpack quickly returns to shape. Hollow polyester fibers trap warm air close to the body, so warmth is provided without extra bulk.

How is this jacket different from similar ones?

The main difference is in the combination of insulation: different densities of G-LOFT on the torso and sleeves, plus an additional layer of Omni-Heat on the back where warmth is needed most.
