Loftshell Climate is designed for active use in cool weather - patrols, long hiking routes, moving to positions, outdoor training in autumn or early spring. High air permeability of the softshell shell means that during intense movement, the jacket doesn't overheat - moisture is wicked away. When the pace slows down, the G-LOFT insulation in critical zones retains heat without extra bulk. This balance makes it useful where activity alternates with pauses in the cold.
Why this model and not a regular softshell?
A regular softshell has no insulation - Loftshell Climate does. At the same time, it doesn't turn into a down jacket: G-LOFT is placed strategically in zones of maximum heat loss, so the jacket remains lightweight and compresses well for transport.
