Winter Jacket Helikon Level 7 Climashield Apex Multicam

When temperatures drop below zero and conditions become truly harsh, this jacket transforms into the last and most reliable thermal barrier between the operator and the cold. Helikon-Tex Level 7 is the final seventh layer of the ECWCS Gen III system, designed specifically for extreme winter conditions. Ripstop nylon with Teflon DWR coating on the outside and Climashield Apex insulation inside - a combination that really works in the field.

Carrying System

The jacket was designed as an outer layer over thermal and fleece liners, so the cut is straight and slightly loose - this is clearly visible in the photos. A spacious hood is designed to be compatible with a ballistic helmet, and when not needed - it hides in a collar stand using a two-way zipper. Velcro panels on the sleeve and chest allow for placement of identification patches. The jacket folds into a compression bag included in the kit, so it doesn't take up extra space in your backpack.

Construction and Materials

• Outer layer: 100% Ripstop nylon with protective Teflon DWR coating - repels water and dirt.
• Climashield Apex insulation: density 100 g/sq.m for the torso, 67 g/sq.m for the hood; solid fiber structure does not shift after washing or compression, maintains thermal insulation even when wet.
• Hood: adjustable with hidden drawstrings inside pockets, compatible with ballistic helmets, hides in the collar stand.
• Chest pockets: fleece inner lining for hand warming, D-rings for equipment attachment.
• Interior pockets: "dry" pocket for documents and two mesh pockets - for drying items with body heat.
• Cuffs and hem: cuffs with adjustable Velcro flaps, jacket hem tightened with elastic cord (stopper visible in the photo).
• Hardware: YKK zippers with thermal protection flap - reliable at low temperatures.
• Multicam camouflage: combination of khaki, green, brown and beige shades - effective camouflage in various environments.
• Weight: approximately 896 g depending on size.
