Why Duracanvas and not synthetics?
Cotton base with wax impregnation behaves differently than classic nylon. The material does not rustle, better dampens sound during movement - which is important in tactical situations. At the same time, the wax coating repels moisture and protects from wind, and dense weaving withstands mechanical stress without rapid wear. In the photos you can clearly see that the fabric has a matte, slightly textured surface - it maintains its shape even after prolonged wear with heavy equipment.
