The Carinthia Defence 6 sleeping bag in olive color is sewn as a cocoon-mummy with a central zipper: the photo shows a quilted surface with cross seams that hold the filler in place. The sleeve features a black patch with the logo of the Austrian brand. This is a winter sleeping bag with G-Loft insulation, designed for severe frosts.
The manufacturer positions the model for arctic conditions. Temperature limits: comfort to -18 °C, comfort limit to -11 °C, extreme limit to -40 °C. Therefore, it is suitable for winter outings, overnight stays in frost, and extended trips where heat reserve is needed. If you are looking for sleeping bags down to -40, this model belongs to exactly that class. Size L is designed for tall height: external dimensions 230/87/60 cm.
The outer shell of smooth polyamide is waterproof and protects from wind, so this is a waterproof bag that does not get wet from external moisture when you sleep under the open sky.
The main difference: combining an extreme limit of -40 °C with a weight of 2.6 kg and compact packing of 25x45 cm. For a winter bag of this temperature class, this is moderate weight, and the differential cut and 3-layer construction help retain heat without excess volume. The olive color is unobtrusive and suitable for tactical and outdoor gear.
