In the city, a black tactical fleece draws no attention and pairs easily with any pants and jackets.
In the field, in the forest or on snow, however, black gives a dark, sharp silhouette and conceals nothing, so for field outings it is better to choose a camouflage pattern. Keep a practical point in mind too: black hardly shows stains, but dust, lint and pet hair are very noticeable. How to choose a size
Sizes are marked in two ways: with letters from XS to 4XL and with numbers from 42 to 64, and there are plus-size models for larger builds. A men's black fleece jacket usually has a straight cut, while for women there are separate models marked "women's" — they are narrower at the waist and shorter in the sleeves. If you plan to wear the jacket under a coat or body armor, try it on over thermal underwear and check that the sleeve doesn't ride up when you raise your arms.
How to care for it so the black doesn't fade
Wash the jacket inside out, with the zipper closed, in cool water and with liquid detergent for dark clothes. Always fasten the Velcro before washing: open hook-and-loop snags the fleece and ruins its pile. Do not use fabric softener or bleach — the former clogs the fibers, the latter leaves stains. Dry it laid flat, not on a radiator and not in direct sunlight, and remove lint with a lint roller.
